Today, unseen, ignored, millions of Indian children don’t go to school, die each year of easily curable diseases, and almost half of all Indian children under five are underweight. In the 21st century, in one of the world’s fastest growing economies, this is unacceptable.
This Lok Sabha election, CRY – Child Rights and You, as an independent non-government organization working in the area of child rights for over 33 years, has developed a Child Rights Manifesto [www.cry.org/voteforchildrights]. We seek your support to collectively urge political parties to focus on the issues affecting the rights of Indian children while fashioning their agendas.
